Opening types
for windows

There are a variety of different opening options for windows. Depending on how and in which order a window can be opened, a distinction is made between the following standard opening types:

Turn-tilt-windows

The window can be opened completely with the first handle operation (turn opening) and only tilted with the second handle movement.
This means that when the handle is operated, the turn opening is unlocked before the tilt opening is unlocked.

1.  Handle vertical downwards = closed
2. Handle horizontal= complete opening (rotary opening)
3. Handle vertical upwards = tilt opening

frequent use: Residential buildings, administration and office buildings

Tilt-before-turn-windows

In this case, the window can only be tilted when the handle is operated for the first time and can only be opened completely with the second handle movement (turn opening).
This means that when the handle is operated, the tilt opening is unlocked before the turn opening is unlocked.

1. Handle vertical downwards = closed
2. Horizontal handle = tilt opening
3. Handle vertical upwards = complete opening (rotary opening)

frequent use: children's rooms, nurseries, retirement homes

Tilt-windows

In this case, the window can only be tilted when the handle is operated.

1. Handle vertical downwards = closed
2. Handle horizontal = tilt opening

frequent use: Basement rooms

Turn-windows

In this case, the window can only be opened completely when the handle is operated (turn opening).

1. Handle vertical downwards = closed
2. Handle horizontal handle = complete opening (rotary opening)

frequent use: Old buildings
